Today we present the new silver commemorative coins of Poste San Marino, which mark the beginning of two important series launched this year. The first 10 euro coin celebrates the 270 years of the Rocca Guard, and is the first in a series dedicated to the military and police forces of the Republic of San Marino. This collection will continue in the coming years with issues dedicated to the Gendarmerie, the Civil Police and other historical institutions.
The second coin, from 5 euro, pays homage to Giacomo Puccini, inaugurating the new series “Great Composers”, dedicated to the most illustrious figures of music. The first tribute is to his famous opera Madama Butterfly, and promises to fascinate not only collectors but also music lovers.
Both proof silver coins, issued this year, represent the beginning of two new collections celebrating art, history and traditions. Available at the Post Office shop or on www.dfn.sm.
