The Brazilian artist, creator of an artwork that unites the two countries, becomes the subject of a stamp to be issued on 15 June
SAN MARINO, 29 May 2024 –The Brazilian street artist Kobra created one of his biggest murals in the Republic of San Marino in 2022 and returned to the Titano, as part of an initiative sponsored by the Secretariats of State for Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Culture on 28 March, to celebrate 40 years of formal relations between the Republic of San Marino and Brazil and to inaugurate an exhibition of his works and the piece “Relations of Peace”, which shows two hands, representing the two countries, from which peace-bearing doves are taking flight.
This wonderful painting was donated to the Republic of San Marino and has been reproduced on the postage stamp to be issued on 15 June 2024. A mix of colours, culture, commitment and art to connect and promote the consolidated harmony between the states: the sharing of a message of peace that the Titano has always tried to convey to the world. This is the second work of art by Kobra to be featured on a stamp issued by the Philatelic and Numismatic Division of the San Marino Post Office.
The stamp of 2.45 euro also bears the value “2.45”, “San Marino”, the Coat of Arms of the Republic, the legend “40° anniversario relazioni ufficiali San Marino-Brasile”, the inscription “Relations of Peace”, the name of the artist and the year 2024.
