Poste San Marino at Veronafil, with a special cancellation

San Marino, 18 May 2024 – From 23 to 25 May 2024, the Philatelic and Numismatic Division of the San Marino Post Office will participate in the 138th edition of Veronafil in Verona. On this occasion, a cancellation postmark dated 23/05/24 has been prepared, featuring the ‘Colonna Antica’, a Gothic pillar with aedicule erected in 1401 to carry the insignia of the Visconti family of Milan, during the years in which they ruled over the area around Verona. In the niches of the aedicula there are carved figures of Mary, Saint Zeno, Christopher and Peter Martyr.
