Max Huber has been a prominent figure in Swiss graphics and one of the main innovators in the Italian visual communication. He introduced the modern typographic techniques, the photomontage and the visual language of the twentieth century’s artistic vanguard. The stamp series represents four works realized between 1936 and 1938, preserved at the Max Huber’s archive in Switzerland. These are the first abstract works, studies and small size sketches realized in tempera colors or with the collage technique. They demonstrate an extraordinary artistic maturity for his young age.
