The stamp depicts the neo-Gothic facade of the Public Palace, in which reside the main institutional and administrative bodies of San Marino. Designed by architect Azzurri and built on the site of the fourteenth-century Domus Comunis Magna, the building was restored by architect Gae Aulenti and was inaugurated solemnly on 30 September 1996.
