“Ecology in Europe – think green” is the theme chosen by PostEurop for the 2016. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Europa stamps, PostEurop decided to have a common design for all its member States and organized a contest which was won by Doxia Sergidou of Cyprus Post. The € 1.00 value shows a dichotomous landscape: half grey and polluted, half green and healthy. Above there is a hand which represents the possibility to replace the grey colour of the pollution with the green colour which symbolizes life and hope.
