San Marino commemorates the glorious history of the Football Club Internazionale Milano by issuing a stamp showing the official logo of the 110th anniversary of the foundation of the team, with a heraldic charge showing a serpent, emblem of the Visconti of Milan and of the team. The club was born from a secession from the Milan Cricket and Football Club at the Milanese restaurant L'Orologio (the clock) on the evening of 9th March 1908. The name of the new team, Foot-Ball Club Internazionale, underlined the willingness of the dissident shareholders to accept also foreign players living in Milan, i.e. "international” players.
