The Maltese artist Cedric Galea Pirotta painted two splendid views for the souvenir sheet dedicated to the San Marino-Malta joint issue, in order to reinforce the relationships of collaboration and friendship between the two Republics. The first value shows the First Tower of San Marino, which is the major and most ancient of the three rocks, dating back to the 11th century. The second value depicts Citadel, the ancient fortified city and the Cathedral of Gozo in Malta.
