2 Euro "Jubilee Holy Year 2025 Pilgrims of Hope"

The Holy Year 2025 was called with the hope of being a sign of renewed rebirth, in order to favour the rebuilding of a climate of hope and trust throughout the world: the motto ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ indicates the invitation to recover the sense of universal brotherhood. On the obverse of the coin, the female figure in the centre of the composition holds a child, symbol of humanity, by the hand and is ready to lead it on the pilgrimage path; her gaze is turned towards the star, a powerful and universal emblem of guidance. Behind the woman's image is a stylised anchor, a metaphor for hope and an evocative element of the cross.
